What They Say About Siesta Beach!

Siesta Beach is beauty in nature. It is a wide, deep, white powdery sand beach. There is good public parking adjacent to the beach, but get there early, any time of the year, especially in season or when there is an event, such as a beach volleyball tournament. As to the latter, you will see some incredibley beautiful people participating. I like to put on a wet suit and swim out far and just float. Typically, there are no waves. You see some fish in close, but to get a good snorkel, you have to take a pleasant hike a mile to the south to the "point of the rocks", where there is a good variety of fish around the red rock formations about fifty yards off the beach. This is just a perfect place to relax. The sunsets can be astoundingly beautiful as well.

Siesta Key is a huge, wide white sandy beach. The water is shallow for a long time, so it's also great for little kids. If you want you can walk for miles along the beach or play. Quality of sand and water are excellent. The sand is so fine, you think you're walking on flour!! The only downside for us as a couple was that it was very crowded, so if you're looking for a quiet,relaxing beach day go somewhere else. Especially for families, or if you want to hang out with your friends, Siesta Key is surely an awesome place!!

Never been to a Beach where the sand is like powdered sugar and your feet do not get burned,! The gulf water is clear - and when you go tot he beach - especially early morning you can see dolphins surfacing and frolicing. The best is very maintained and by lifegard house 3 it has a snack bar; they sell alcohol at descent price - as well as food and other drinks.

Go early on weekends - parking is very limited!

Go to the drum circle on Sunday - arrive no later than 6:30PM cause parking is tough!

Soft white powdery sand that stays cool, large wide beach with a very gradual slow drop so its kid friendly doesnt get deep unless you far out, and even then I hit a sandbar in the middle where the water was up to my knees.

No seaweed and very little sea grass. CLEAN! I went on a thursday, easy free parking, it started getting crowded but never rowdy around 12 noon...but not a bad crowded, we had plenty of "space" and the waters were not crowded at all....just a really chill atmosphere

Can I tell you about the water?????? early the sky was cloudy so the water look meh, but when it cleared OMG the water was beautiful against the blue sky. My fav beach.

great beach, easy access to beach and plenty of parking. Snack bar takes credit cards if total is over $10.00 otherwise, bring your own lunch or bring cash. They have a shop where you can buy things you may have forgot (sunscreen, floatation devices, even umbrellas!) but they only take cash. ATM is available. Restrooms and showers are also available.
